Her career began at age 5 when she played started playing summer stock alongside her mother in Massachusetts' Berkshires.
In 1991 spurred on by a well recieved appearance opposite Danner she decided to quit her art history studies at University of California at Santa Barbara to pursue an acting career.
Her first big break came when Steven Spielberg offered her the part of young Wendy in 'Hook' while waiting in line to see 'Silence of the Lambs'.
